Care through the year

Choose a season

A little care,
season by season.

March to May Spring
Watering · regular
Light
Move plants toward brighter light as the days warm up.
Water
Water when the soil has dried out completely.
Tip
A good time to repot into a slightly larger planter.
June to September Monsoon
Watering · a little
Light
Keep them in the brightest dry spot you have, out of the rain.
Water
Water less: the damp air is doing some of the work.
Tip
Make sure every pot drains. Wet roots are the main risk.
October to November Autumn
Watering · a little
Light
Clear skies return, so give them plenty of sun.
Water
Water when dry, a little less as the nights cool.
Tip
Many succulents blush with colour in cool, sunny weather.
December to February Winter
Watering · very little
Light
Give them your sunniest window.
Water
Water sparingly; most succulents rest in the cold.
Tip
Keep them away from frost and cold glass at night.
